Description

Inscribed lower right: "Drawn by Chegeree the [Miami?] Indian who Says he has Traveled through the Country."

Orientation with north toward the upper right. Shows area from Lake Erie to the mouth of the Ohio River. Includes Sandusky "Sianusski" emended to "Sanduksy" by another hand on the Ohio shore of Lake Erie.  A "Wandot" [Wyandot] village is shown just south of a "Tawas" [Ottawa, Odawa] village across the river from "French" Detroit. In this section the captioning is inverted as compared to the main orientation of the map. See files.
